refresh a window?

How do i repaint a window. I want to clear everything out of a simple windowsAPI window.

Depends on if you are using Win32 or MFC...

For Win32 send a WM_PAINT message to your app to trigger the window redraw stuff manually...

From MSDN:
"The WM_PAINT message is generated by the system and should not be sent by an application."

Try InvalidateRect(), or CWnd::Invalidate() in MFC.

Hehe ^thats^ what I ment, but could not remember it exactly...

its been too long since I did any MFC.
