What''s the difference between C++ and VC++? Does V stand for something?

C++ is a language, VC++ is a compiler for the C++ language. The V stands for Visual.

Oh, that''s what I thought it was. The reason I asked was because on GameTutorials.com, it has a tutorial for VC++ and C++. I got a little confused there.
