fullscreen problem drawing things that are projected to screen coord

I when i''m drawing things that are projected onto to screen coordinates, such as fonts, there are artifacts that pop up all over the place. In windowed mode everything is fine. Calling glGetError() returns noError, but there is something wrong. This only happended after i installed a new radeon 7000 (I used to be running a voodoo4 and everything was fine).
