Terrain-rendering techniques

Hi! Does anybody know how Blizzard have done their terrain-rendering in World of Warcraft? If somebody knows a good way to get the same results both in quality and speed then you''re welcome to reply here too! Very thankful for all replies, Filip

Well I dont know for sure but seems to me as if a lot of the "models" that make up the terrain features are just 2 sprites that look 3d. They can get away with a lot of things since you cant rotate the view so it all looks cool.
