Ive got a problem with some fps. My system specs are: 1.2ghz t-bird, 256 ram, and a voodoo 3 3500; (win 98) I get ~400 fps to ~600fps on very simple programs I have tested my program on 3 other systems 1)800mhz, 512 ram, geforce 2; (win98) ~gets about 60fps 2)750mhz, 256 ram, geforce 2; (winxp) ~gets about 110fps 3)500mhz, 256 ram, geforce 2; (windxp or me i think) ~gets 12 fps could my programs fps really change that dramaticly with me having a faster processor and a worse vid card? im only calling basic opengl calls. Its the same for 2 of my programs, one simply displays a masked quad that moves around like in astroids. and the other is a 3d md2 loader Edited by - prod on March 24, 2002 2:31:25 AM

Make sure that every system has V-Sync turned off (I''m pretty sure at least one of them didn''t). Make sure they all have the newest drivers installed. There''s something wrong with that very last one. Your testing is flawed somehow, I can tell you that much .

1) vsync
2) vsync
3) software rendering. Make sure you have the latest Xp drivers.
Here''s to proof that Voodoo still rocks! *cheers*
