DirectSound and software rendering

My Vibra128 refuses to play under software rendering if I set the acceleration at basic or higher. However hardware rendering plays OK. Im also running another operating system (different language version of Win98SE) on the same machine, with same DX81 and same audio drivers - everything seems to be OK there. If anyone has any idea please help me!

Ive found a solution - Vibra128 is not guilty. This was an effect from disabling virtual memory (I have 384 physical and it was OK up to now). Enabling virtual memory solved the problem. Sorry to have bothered you, people.
