quadric texture question

i was playing around with making a skybox out of a quadric (maybe i should call it a sky sphere then, eh?). anyways, the prob is that at both ends of the sphere the texture comes together all weird, and kinda mis-matched. i''m not good at describing things, so heres a screenshot: http://www.9cy.com/members/flegmato/OGLquadriclines.html any way i can fix this? thanks in advance...
