Ive searched quite a bit on this topic and havnt really found an answer for my question :/ Im current using DirectX8.1 with VB6. Say (for a simple example) I have two cube meshes visible on my screen. How do I determine which mesh i have clicked on? (using the mouse). I understand it involves rays and such... but I need either a solid code example (or even some theory ) Thanks in advance. TheNewbie

Use the D3DXIntersect fucntion to fetch the nearest mesh and it''s distance. I believe that''s D3DX.Intersect in VB6.
