Functions of an object modeller

Hi all, As I am nearing completion of my own object modeller with the basic functionality for object creation, I was just wondering what kind of tools and functions of an editor would you say were indespensible - or even any tools that you think would be useful but cannot find in any packages etc? just wondering what your opinions are. thanks in advance.

Do you mean a 3dimensional object modeler???
If so, check out 3ds max. Short of the small
annoyance of an up/down Z axis it has everything
I could ever think of, and ten times more...
