hey i''m an absolute beginner with openGL. i''m trying to make a game based around the bedlam cube puzzle (www.bedlamcube.com). logically i''m doing ok, but i''m having problems coming to grips with the basic lighting, color etc in openGL. in the game i have shapes that are made up of a number of cubes. my problem is that it is really obvious that each shape is made of several cubes, because it shows the joins between the cubes (even if these joins are on the same plane). is there anyway to make these joins less obvious? if anyone cares to look at the code, you can download visual c++ code from http://matrix.netsoc.tcd.ie/~lethal/col_lit.zip this contains a sample piece of the code where one piece is generated - some further instructions are in the comments of the main.cpp file thanks a million!! jipe@campus.ie
