ddraw very slow

ok, i have a problem. i have coded a small space shooter in ddraw. on Win2k/winxp it runs perfectly. but on win9x it is terribly slow. i have tested it on several machines and everywhere there was the same problem. would a enumeration of available ddraw devices solve the problem? AVATAN RPG ENGINE http://www.avatan.de.vu

I had the same problem last night, but I was using D3D. It turned out that my function used to pause code execution was all wrong, and for some reason would only work properly on my machine. I revised it using the timeGetTime() function and it works on other machines now.
