Character jumping dilemna....

I''m having a problem getting my character to go down when it reach the edge of a platform tile. If the player press jump and it did went ove the tile, the character adjusts properly. But then the character''s y coordinate stays and doesn''t adjust when it reach the edge of the collided tile.
