Are there any examples of a minimal D3D7 application (eg. drawing a flat-shaded triangle) that don''t use some framework or anything like that? D3DX is fine. The tutorials in the SDK are littered with irrelevant Windows programming stuff when all I need and want is a simple message pump, which I already have. I looked in the resources section here of course, and nothing seemed to fit the bill, although I may have overlooked something. If you look under the Tutorials folder of the Direct3D samples folder, there''s a few tutorials which don''t use that framework.

Yeah, I took a look at those, but in trying to change them around a bit and put things in separate files/functions, I kept getting DDERR_NOTFOUND errors on trying to allocate the back buffer, which are utterly useless for debugging I would add. Thanks anyway.
