Octree Collision Help

I have an octree and collision detection system set up. And i have a function that returns the polygons for the current node of the octree im in to pass to the collision detection, and all is well until i am what seems to be walking up a hill and cross from a node to another. So im thinking its a problem with a shared polygon. Im using hte octree from gametutorials.com. Anyone that might be able to help, would be greatly appreciated.
