Hello I tried to create a application, which had to display a skinned character. I just took the source code from the Skinned Mesh example from DXSDK and removed the D3DApp , CD3DArcBall and vertex shading. But the model looks quite strange - some poligons which shouldn''t be drawed [from the invisible side of the model] are drawed at front of it. I tried to remove CD3DArcBall and vertex shading from the skinned mesh sample - it worked fine. The problem isn''t in culling. KriS

Is the z-buffer enabled? Use this:

d3dDevice->SetRenderState( D3DRS_ZENABLE, TRUE );

The documentation says that''s supposed to be by default if you create your device with a z-buffer, but that doesn''t seem to be the case - you need to do it explicitly...
