Making a BackGround for a 3D game?
Hi all
I want to make a background for my 3d game its based in space i already got some textures for it. I made a big box with its face r facing inside and placed the textures on them, it looks a little bit odd and when u reach the end u hit the box kinda dumb to have a space with limits lol. any help would be aprreciated thxs.
Render the box so that the player is always in its center. Also, the textures have to be a little ''special'' to avoid the seams (think: ''a sphere projected on the inner walls of a cube''). You should also render the box without updating the Z buffer to avoid having things that can intersect with the ''end of the world'' (i.e. the background will seem to be placed infinitely far away).
