How to draw on screen with alpha?
Have you any idea how to draw picture with alpha (not with simple transparency) on screen? Thanks
If your texture has an alpha channel you''re set.

yep, in fact i wrote mmx optimized routines for such things. search the forum for information on the software method, otherwise if using d3d, do as siaspete says and use textures with an alpha channel. make sure you enable blending of things wont work quite right.
Sorry, you haven''t understood me right. I was asking about drawing flat picture (not the texture) on the screen. For example, to draw text with antialias on screen upon all the stuff
I think I may use 2 triangles and transparent texture, but how to position them relative to camera? It will be good to turn off Z axis and draw all in flat world, like in OpenGL (Am I right?).
Does anybody knows how to do this trick?

just used transformed vertices. see the sdk for samples.
