Folks, Has anyone out their in GD land done an open game movie? like the ones seen in Diablo, Baldur''s Gate, Dungeon Siege and others; also, the in game cut scenes and chat dialog boxes (like Dungeon Siege) If so, might you kindly point me to a tutorial/information/pointers? Regards, Ron

Well, for cutscenes, you have a few options. DirectShow is very handy. There is a very simple example on loading, playing, and handling movies in DirectShow contained in the SDK. Pay close attention to the PlayWnd Sample. As for Baldur''s Gate/Dungeon Siege Custscenes, these are easily done via scripting. There are quite a few scripting languages around, tcl, python, etc.. Also there are a series of articles on creating a scripting subsystem under the "Articles and Resources" section of the site. Good Luck.
