hello all. i''m currently trying to build a level editor for my game and i realized that I''d like to use a pop up window, but don''t know how. here''s the scenario... I have an open gl window open that is blank. i want the user to be able to click at any position in the window and automatically pop up a custom dialog box where they can enter in what they are placing, its speed, direction, etc... i already have the open gl down, input system is there, I just need to know how to hook the dialog into an already existing application. if anyone has any suggestions, or links, they are greatly appreciated... p.s. my second plan is kind of lame, but if i can''t figure out how to pop up a dialog, could i attach a menu to the window and make the user click ''add object'' (or is this exactly the same thing).
