I''m a newbie in programming, and I only have a little knowledge in C++. I''m planning to do some windows RAD in the future. I''m not sure wether I should read a book about a language first and then learn an IDE, or read a book that teaches the language and the IDE at the same time. Please give me some advice, I''d really appreciate it!

Definately learn the language first. Don''t buy one of those "Learn Visual C++" type books. The ones I''ve seen don''t actually teach the language, they just teach you about the IDE and MFC. Instead buy something like Teach Yourself C++ in 21 Days or just download Thinking in C++ or some free C++ tutorials or something if you don''t need it on paper.
