I have written a DirectShow application that plays AVI files to a IDirectDrawSurface4. This program has a list of AVI files to play and plays them one after another in a continuous loop. It works great for the first 4 hours (videos play perfect). After 4 to 5 hours it receives and error ("No combination of intermediate filters could be found to make the connection. 0x80040217 535") when it calls the IAMMultiMediaStream::OpenFile(LPCWSTR, DWORD) function to open one of the next AVI files. This application has to be able to run for 12+ hours straight! Any ideas? Has anyone been able to get DirectShow to run for > 5 hours? Since DirectShow is handling the filters internally how can I get around this problem? This is a very aggravating error since I can only test the program 2 times a day! I would greatly appreciate any ideas, advice, or info on what I should do? Thanks! Todd
