Whats the difference between HINSTANCE and HMODULE for using it as a handle to a DLL?

HINSTANCE is a throwback to Windows 3. Just so, it''s good practice to use the appropriate type as indicated.

For reference:

typedef HANDLE HINSTANCE;
typedef HANDLE HMODULE;
typedef void *HANDLE;
