My friends and I are working on a side scrolling game, kinda like mario brothers. Anyhow, I''d like to get some feedback on the game engine and compatibility so I can work out any bugs that are in the game. I''d appreciate any feedback at all. thanks! http://users.cwnet.com/aurash

The game changed my screen resolution and exited, I didn''t see nothing (just a black screen). I didn''t get any error message too...

Same thing happened to me. I checked out the log file, and here''s the results:

Setting Video Mode: 640x480, 16 bit
Making Lookup tables...done.
Loading sprites...done.
Loading background graphics...

Wouldn''t run in the Windows 2000 environment. You really need a good error handling system too, so you know what the errors are.

Thanks. I appreciate teh feedback. regarding the one besides win2k, the game requires a video card with more tyhan 4mb (which i forgot to mention), so the bakcgrounds were too large to open. I found out that the engine is really uinstable (not compatible with many video cards). So I''m probably going to change the format. Anyhow, expect another nillboard pst when it works properly. I appreciate the feedback.
