I was wondering if anybody had any good ideas on how to draw random good electricity graphics. Like if I wanted lightning, or electrically-charged ball (with electricity encircling it), or a weapon that shoots out an electric "beam? charge?" or etc. It is for a 2D game I am creating...

Umm... there are a lot of different ways you could do this. The first one that comes to my mind is to trace a line between the origin and the end of the "beam" or whatever it is. Then you could do a little random perturbing(did I spell that right?) along the line, so it ends up all crinkly, and then just draw some nice looking blue or red or green or whatever stuff along that line.

Hmmm... I might have to use that idea myself....

flipcode.com just had a contest to see who could come up with the best electric bolt demo. You might want to head over there and take a look at the results and see if any of them have published source code or algorithms used.
