"Yep, Wacky Wheels, by a team in England, sure is a lot like Mario Kart, and had I known then what I know now, I wouldn''t have allowed that game to be so close to the original. Thanks for pointing that one out."

Funny how Scott ''convienently'' forgets the remakes his
company made until someone points them all out, huh?

First he said there was none, now there are 3 confirmed
with more on the way.

Now, if Scott had done his homework, would there have
been jumpman lives? Remember, at the time the Hasbro
suit ''pacman'' games were made, Namco and Atari had
abandoned pacman for years! Hmmmm, looks like Scott and
Dave of MVP should be agreeing with each other, instead of
Scott attacking his own kind. What a coward lamer.

Ok Scott, keep the ''excuses'' coming...

Guys we are missing the point , there is nothing wrong with learning from another game , to quote Steve Jobs,

quote:

Good artist copy ideas , brilliant artist steal ideas.

I was influenced by the Ghetto you ruined.
Exactly! This is the whole reason the Hasbro suits are dangerous! They are trying to prevent game developers from expanding on the basic gameplay ideas they claim to own.

Any artform is based on past ideas, be it music, visual art, or game design. Any game programmer or designer worthy of the name will look at other people''s work to find sources of good ideas, and for examples of what not to do. Of course this shouldn''t be the only source of ideas. But to say that any vertical scrolling airplane game is a clone of River Raid is silly. To allow some company to prevent the making of a vertical scrolling airplane game through copyright abuse will crush this industry, no question.

I understand you are trying to make a point, but must
you insult people while doing so?
Just because you think you have a few good points, doesn''t
mean you have to be a jerk about it, Scott certainly
kept his cool until you freaked out for no apparant reason.
