I''ve been looking over the DX SDK docs for some time now, but I''m very confused with the D3D7 version. I kind of understood the principle of the previous versions, but never wrote anything in 3D before. I think I understand how the newer version works -- it''s mostly calls to change the state of the D3D renderer -- but I have no idea how to lay things out. Maybe someone could give me an idea on how to lay out a typical function to render a game scene? Just a very simple example, like what people do to explain the game loop:
void GameMain()
{
    GetInput();

    MovePlayers();
    MoveEnemies();

    RenderGame();
}

Thanks! - null_pointer
