Hey... I came across a very annoying problem when I was porting my DirectX 6 code to version 7. When I converted all the initialization stuff and variables and ran the program, the frame rate was horribly slower. After a (loooong) while, I remedied the problem by including a "DDBLT_DONOTWAIT" in all my blit functions. If you ever had to update their code like I did, did you have to do this to get your program running up to speed, and am I doing it the right way? Thanks, Korndog

I believe the default behavior for blits switched from non-waiting to waiting in DX7. Many people on the DXDEV mailing list had this problem when DX7 first came out, and adding the DDBLT_DONOTWAIT flag fixed it.
