Problem with index buffering..

Ok i used D3DFMT_INDEX16 format for my index buffer and i declared it as WORD * and everything worked just fine. now i change it to D3DFMT_INDEX32 and i changed WORD* to DWORD* and allocated memory appropriately. it stopped working ! i dont know why.. please someone enlighten me on this stuff... if we give the option D3DFMT_INDEX32 when creating index buffer, dx, should read 32 bits for each index, and thatz y i declared DWORD instead of WORD. now y isnt my program working. i have the code at http://www.gamedev.net/community/forums/topic.asp?topic_id=97431. thanks in advance Slow and steady wins the race.
