d3d help, i have two object, how come it's not positioned properly...?

hiya, okey here''s the position of the object inside the D3DXMatrisTranslation(...) object1 : xx.xx.0.0f; object2 : xx.xx.10.0f; i draw the object 1 first, then object 2, but how come object 2 is not behind object 1? so what i did is, i drew object 1 first, then object 2 and yup it worked now! object 2 is behind object 1 but.., how come it''s like that?? i mean, is this like 2d when drawing? it has to do on which drawing comes first??? many thanks

First thing that comes to mind is that you do not have z-buffering enabled. Or you're lacking another form of depth testing. This would cause objects drawn further away (but drawn after closer objects) to appear in front of a closer object.

yes i don''t have any z bufferings or any depth testing as i am not yet on that part, anyway thanks! so that''s the problem behind this,
