Ray Picking & 3D Coords

I''m working on a program with ray picking. I have a huge plane, that serves as my ground plane and a character that should run around on this ground plane. Now, i want to click with the mouse anywhere on this plane and then let the character walk to that "clicked" point. I have the ray picking up and running, and i have calulated the directional vector and everything, but when i test for intersection of the Ray and the plane with D3DXIntersectTri, the function return Barycentric Hit coordinates. How do i convert those Hit Coords to a 3d point and let my character walk there? anyone?? thanx, idx to code or not to code, that is the algorithm
