I''m trying to work out just generally how to out resource files into my EXEs but having no success. For example, using VC++ I created an icon resource file in the icon editor. I "add"ed it into the project it tells me something about creating a script file ".rc". I presumed the script file would be included by the linker. Nothing has happened to the icon several weeks later. I also tried to give my program a menu using the menu editor again it makes a .rc file and then nothing happens. Do I have to tell it to access the .rc file? Do I have to give some build command or a #compiler command? Any clues whatsoever?

you mean #include the resource file or just add it into the project because I have added it into the project
