Loading textures with color palletes

Hello, I''m loking for a sample of loading a texture using GL_COLOR_INDEX and not GL_RGB. How can we define a color pallete (lookup table) in NT ? The samples in NEHE''s course use RGB only. Does it depends on the video adapter installed in the PC ? We want to load a BMP file where each pixel is 8 bits. Can anybody help ? Thanks, Zvika Vered IAI \ ELTA
