Direct3DRMMesh SetVertices

Hello, I''m kinda having this problem with setting Vertex colours (yes I''m canadian) for a Direct3DRMMesh object. First I loaded a mesh with Meshbuilder and then using the CreateMesh of Meshbuilder function I made a Mesh. Then I go deforming the mesh and setting the vertices with the SetVertices member function of D3DRMMesh. However, I can''t seem to set the colours of each individual vertex, even when I change the D3DRMVERTEX.color parameter. What I''m really doing is simulating a wave, and I want certain vertices that are above certain level to have the colour white, while the rest have the blue, just to indicate the highpoints. Any help, would be appreciated, Thanks a lot,
