Has anyone experimented with implementing the techniques outlined by these papers ? Apperance-Preserving Simplification, Cohen et. all, UC / Chapel Hill (http://www.cs.unc.edu/~geom/APS/) Silhouette Clipping Hoppe et. all, Proceedings of SIGGRAPH 2000 , http://people.deas.harvard.edu/~pvs/research/silclip/ Essentially, it seems to be the techniques behind the Doom3 / PolyBump approach to Bump-map generation. I was wondering if anyone has experimented with creating the exporter, what your experience with this was, and any limitations of the techniques you''ve found. Allan
