When I use this feature in my school computer labs, it is a great help when programming. So, I''m trying to do this at my house with my laptop and a monitor, so I do not need a dual head video card. I have the two hooked up together but I could only get the same picture on both monitors. And when I go into display, settings, there is only one monitor. In Windows 98, I always rememmber there being two monitors there, but for my Windows XP there isn''t. Do I need any special type of software for XP to do this?

I''m not sure, since you''re dealing with a laptop and a desktop. I tested it out on my laptop and PC, and was able to share the screen space between both, but my laptop has a video card which supported the ability..

I''m not sure what the case may be with yours, but why would you not need a dual headed card?

Btw: This should be in the Lounge, as it''s not really a programming question.
