Texture/light problem

Hey, I am useing several textures. But i cant use lighting. Unbinding the textures, wont do as well. Even glColor3f doesnt work anymore, after i used glDisable(GL_TEXTURE_2D); It stays white. Does any one know what to do? glEnable(GL_LIGHTING); is set on, and afcourse glEnable(GL_LIGHT1); ( depending on the number ). Michael
