Can anyone explain to me the difference between Dexterity (www.Dexterity.com) and AmicGames (www.amicgames.com) ? I''m confused because under the "developer" section in both sites, is the same text. What is the connection between these two sites? Thanks...

Yes, but check out this (read the text in these pages):

...and also...

How do you explain this ?
One probably copied on the other.

My money is on this "Amic Games" copying from Dexterity. If you read through Dexterity''s web site and compare the style of writing on these pages with the other pages on the site, you will see the spelling, grammer, and style is pretty consistant, and is also consistant with that of Steve''s postings in this forums as well.

Now make the same comparison on the Amic Games web site, and ou will see these pages do not fit in. These 2 pages are well worded and arranged. The rest of the site contains spelling errors and quite a few strangely worded phrases.

I think Dexterity and Amic Games have some explaining to do for us....

But I agree with LordKronos, Dexterity is very supportive all the time, and Amic games like never even visits gamedev.net.

I agree with you LordKronos.
Steve''s probably already been made aware of this, but I sent him an email a few minutes ago just to make sure he knew (although the poor guys probably going to have 100 emails in his inbox letting him know ).

Hahaha!!! This is funny. I just found the smoking gun. Check out the about page: http://www.amicgames.com/show.php?v=aboutus

"Amic Games is a small young Romanian games developing team. Head quartered in Targu Jiu city, Amic Games was founded in June 2000 by..."

Now check out the developers page: http://www.amicgames.com/show.php?v=developers

"That''s where we come in. We started as an independent developer back in 1994."

I wrote most of the text at dexterity.com myself, so I know that Dexterity is the copyright holder. This is probably about the 10th time someone has stolen content from our site in the last couple years. Maybe I should just put the entire site into syndication.

Quite often when someone copies our site, they screw up so badly as to leave in information that''s only true about us. Usually they just copy and paste the HTML directly. Some plagiarizers even forget to change the links that go to other pages on our site!

I am always amazed that someone whose business should be built on earning the trust of developers would do something that so blatantly dishonest. After all, if you learn that a publisher steals their content from others, wouldn''t you be a little hesitant to submit original game ideas to them?
