Hello all, I''m very new to directX (please, if this is a post that you''ve seen a million times, just be nice and point me in the right direction - if your going to answer at all - thanks!) Anyway, i''m trying to initialize direct draw (8 i guess) and i''m not really clear on how to do it. There seems to be so many ways yet non of them seem to work for me. Could someone tell me where theres a good tutorial on direct draw 8, or something along that line?! Thanks very much in advance, and sorry if i posted in the wrong forum. ¬_¬

Microsoft took DirectDraw out of DirectX 8. You can the DirectDraw7 class, but you have to reference the DirectX 7 library. Rumor has it that they''re putting it back in DX9, but I have no actual proof of this.
