Hey, I am looking to tackle Tetris as well, but I''m not too sure when I would be "ready" to do so. I''ve got the C++ basics down (arrays, pointers, classes, etc.) but I still need to learn the DirectX API and related material. So my questions are this:

1) What should be my next step? Learn DirectX or something related?

2) At what point in my self-training should I consider myself prepared to tackle Tetris?

3) Is there anything else I need to know about before taking Tetris on?

Thanks!
Sol

Solburn - The GDI is enough to make tetris with. If you understand timers, and loading and displaying parts of bitmaps, give it a go
