Swamp effect with jungle vegetation.
This is the same swamp effect seen in the previous screen shot, with jungle vegetation.
The game tracks the water type (such as swamp), elevation, and vegetation in a map square (5x5 miles) separately. This allows combinations of different elevations (heightmaps), water types (heightmaps, water quads, and water textures), and vegetation coverage (meshes and textures) to be used to compose the scene.
