  • Interview 'Night in the Woods' at GDC

    Since Night in the Woods’ won Excellence in Narrative and the Seumas MacNally Grand Prize at the Independent Games Fair Awards Wednesday night, the mini-booth in the IGF Pavilion has seen a steady flow of visitors to try the game. Its straight-forward controls, fun and colorful art, and engaging narrative have players queuing for their turn to start the story. The player character’s curiosity and hilarious sass quickly built player and audience affection, and her quirky way of engaging with and commenting on her surroundings keeps players absorbed in progressing through levels.
    To further stand out from the crowd and reach even more players, ‘Night in the Woods’ dev team Infinite Fall is releasing the game on as many platforms as possible: they have released the game for Windows, macOS, Linux, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and, most recently, Nintendo Switch, with iOS and Android releases pending for later this year.
