Kevin Hawkins is one of the original founders of GameDev.net. Contact him if you're interested in working with GameDev.net.
GameDev.net was launched in 1999 from the merger of several "game programming" sites that had existed since the mid-1990's. While most of the original founders of GameDev.net are no longer involved, without them GameDev.net would not be where it is today.
Dave worked on a little bit of everything for GameDev.net, including development, sales, and community management. In addition to GameDev.net, Dave co-authored OpenGL Game Programming, OpenGL ES Game Development, Beginning OpenGL Game Programming, and More OpenGL Game Programming. He has contributed to many other books and has spoken at several industry conferences. He is currently Game Developer Relations Engineering Manager at Intel in Portland, OR.
Mike made sure GameDev.net continued to run, whether it was fixing the software or the servers. He has a BS in Computer Science from Penn State University and a Masters of Secondary Education at Kutztown University. He currently teaches computer networking at Easton Area High School in Pennsylvania.
Don and John provided server support and maintenance for GameDev.net.
