  1. Text adventure design.

I'd suggest you have a look at the Inform languge, http://www.inform-fiction.org It is a language specialized for writing text adventures. It'll take care of all the actual handling of objects and commands.
  2. Why does web development make so little sense?

I can imagine cross-platform support and security are the two large obstacles. I suggest you look into flash, silverlight, and java-applets.
  3. Urban Empires - Help me pick my game's box art!

I really, really like number #2! It's different, it's clean, it looks like something that might break the mold a little. Oh, and the Salsa logo with the skyscraper is much better.
  4. FONT EDITOR X-TREME 2006!!!!!!

Quote:Original post by Tape_Worm Sounds like you don't have Managed DirectX installed, or at the very least the correct version is missing. Indeed, I did find and install Managed DirectX(I have no idea what that is, I pref OpenGL). It now runs, but when I click "New" I get Input string was not in a correct format. at System.Number.StringToNumber(String str, Numberstyles options, NumberBuffer& number, NumberFormatInfo info, Boolean parseDecimal) at System.Number.ParseSingle(String value, Numberstyles options, NumberFormatInfo numfmt) at System.Single.Parse(String s, Numberstyles style, NumberFormatInfo info) at System.Convert.ToSingle(String value) at FontEditor.FontEditor.NewFont(Boolean getName) <<< Beginning of stack >>>

  9. Shadows of the empire...

alpha :) instead of just being transparent over the current background image.
  10. Shadows of the empire...

    "Proper" transperancies? Shadows too! Awesome!
  11. Outlines

try that with vastly bigger font, say 30pt, outlined fonts(more than 1px border) are very likely to be a larger font size.
  12. No, I don't do requests.

Awesome :D Looking forward to a release. Finally a good bitmap font generator. Outlined fonts at 4 or more pixels would be good for arcade style games. I'll present the one I'm working on soonish :)
  13. Spaceship Control Problems
