    I'm using LodePNGTiny (http://members.gamedev.net/lode/projects/LodePNG/) to load PNG images. Then with OpenGl I'm trying to create a texture and load it into a quad. But when I try this code, I get compiler errors. glTexImage2D(GL_TEXTURE_2D, 0, 4, w, h, 0, GL_RGBA, GL_UNSIGNED_BYTE, image); gluBuild2DMipmaps(GL_TEXTURE_2D, 4, w, h, GL_RGBA, GL_UNSIGNED_BYTE, image); Compiler errors. cannot convert `std::vector<unsigned char, std::allocator<unsigned char> >' to `const GLvoid*' for argument `9' to `void glTexImage2D(GLenum, GLint, GLint, GLsizei, GLsizei, GLint, GLenum, GLenum, const GLvoid*)' cannot convert `std::vector<unsigned char, std::allocator<unsigned char> >' to `const void*' for argument `7' to `GLint gluBuild2DMipmaps(GLenum, GLint, GLsizei, GLsizei, GLenum, GLenum, const void*)' Please help

    One more thing. I feel retarded asking this. If I use the LodePNGTiny (http://members.gamedev.net/lode/projects/LodePNG/) how would I go about actually printing the sprite to the screen? I’m thinking openGL would get the data from the decoder and then print it to the screen. Is that right?
  5. You could look into pixel by pixel comparison for collision. Anyway, if it’s for school didn't they give you a book? Maybe it has the answer and you didn’t even know it.

    I’m trying to create c# xna code that will rotate a turret with a mouse. I have not found a code example or anything for this. How is it done? Edited: I forgot to mention this is a 2d game.     Ill look into it, wish me luck. The only reason I want to try this is because after formatting so many hard drives I have become intrigued to understand what kind of hard work was put into the code. Thanks for the wonderful info.

    The "plan" is to make a bootable cd with an executable file created from code. So for this I should look at assembly code? I know it might be hard, but it might be fun too haha.
