The GameDev.net FreeBook is relevant to game designers, developers, and those interested in learning more about the challenges in game development. A Practical Guide to Indie Game Marketing, by Joel Dreskin Marketing is an essential but too frequently overlooked or minimized component of the release plan for indie games. A Practical Guide to Indie Game Marketing provides you with the tools needed to build visibility and sell your indie games. With special focus on those developers with small budgets and limited staff and resources, this book is packed with tangible recommendations and techniques that you can put to use immediately. As a seasoned professional of the indie game arena, author Joel Dreskin gives you insight into practical, real-world experiences of marketing numerous successful games and also provides stories of the failures. View it here. An Architectural Approach to Level Design This is one of the first books to integrate architectural and spatial design theory with the field of level design. The book presents architectural techniques and theories for level designers to use in their own work. It connects architecture and level design in different ways that address the practical elements of how designers construct space and the experiential elements of how and why humans interact with this space. Throughout the text, readers learn skills for spatial layout, evoking emotion through gamespaces, and creating better levels through architectural theory. View it here. Personal Information

1. That's true, but I often find them confusing and not very well written.   Also, I don't think there's anything wrong in having more tutorials.
2. I recently published a tutorial which is an introduction to Qt programming and that explains how to create an application with Qt and C++. Full project and source code are available on GitHub.   Any feedback is appreciated and so are requests for future topics.
3.   Hi, today I launched a new website dedicated to indie and independent game developers: IndieDevMap.   At the moment the website lists almost 200 developers, but many others will be added soon.   If you are an active developer you can register and get your place on the map clicking on the SUBMIT button.   I'm planning to introduce more features and extend the content soon, so if you have any suggestion feel free to comment here or send me a message.
4. Sim Betting Football, the only football betting simulation game, is now available to download for free on the Google Play store. Sim Betting Football is an unique and innovative mobile game which offers gamers a new perspective on football simulation games and brings virtual gambling to the gaming world in a funny and safe way.   Here some screenshots           For more info feel free to contact me or to download the press kit from the media page of the game website, where you will also find screenshots and other assets.
5.   Hi, I've recently launched a Kickstarter campaign for my first independent game as Vindicta Games: Sim Betting Football.   Sim Betting Football is the only football betting simulation game in which gamers bet virtual coins on football matches simulated on their tablet or smartphone. The game is planned to be release to Android and iOS in May 2016 and eventually to Windows Phone in the future. These are some screenshots from a recent beta build:   If you are tired of playing football simulation games as a football manager and want to play something new, then this is definitely the game for you. Back this project and get immediate access to the beta build from just £10.
6. A quick update to announce the 0.2.0 version of the website introducing Search and Advanced Search. Also, I wrote a blog post on Gamasutra about how the website started, the current status of the project and future plans.
7. IndieDevMap is a world map of indie and independent game developers. The website is still under heavy development, but you can already browse the maps and submit your data. The main idea behind it is to help people to find developers in a specific area, but that's just the beginning. In the next few weeks more content will come: interviews with game developers, game promotions, jobs board and much more. For more info and to submit your data check the website.
8. To celebrate the 1st month on the App Store the game is FREE for today only! Then it will be half price ($0.99) for the rest of the week. Now it's the perfect time to download it
9. Yesterday I published a Flash lite version of the game. Even if it doesn't offer all the features you can find in the iOS game, you'll be able to play a whole campaign from start to finish and to submit your scores to online leaderboards, so it's a perfect way to try the game for free. The core gameplay has been inspired by a classic Atari game from the 80’s: Missile Command, but it’s been revisited and changed by us to create a modern and fun game with just a retro feeling. Now it's also possible to PLAY the Flash version to try the game in your browser, for free. 11. I think you should have some kind of promotion for indie developers, otherwise this is just spam to me.
12. Lowpoly Studios is running a contest offering a free banner for 2 weeks on our Flash games portal AskFlashGames as prize. The spot reserved for the contest is the 160x600 side banner showed on every page with a game on it (example page). A good banner placed on that spot can easily get tens of clicks per day and about 90% of the traffic is from the USA, so the prize is worth tens of $. For more info about how to enter the contest and all the rules, check the contest announce. If you have any question, please don't hesitate to contact me.
13. PLAY NOW Meme Invaders is an extended version of the flash game I realized as replacement for the advertisement blocks on Reddit.com last month. The new extended version introduces a bigger canvas (640x480), a leaderboard and few new game elements, anyway I decided to not spend too much work on it before checking people's feedback. Do you think I should put more work on this game and make a Meme Incaders 2 featuring better graphics, more game modes and other stuff?
14. Lowpoly Studios has just launched AskFlashGames.com - a website collecting quality flash games carefully selected by us. At the moment AskFlashGames features 180 games grouped in 11 categories, but we'll keep adding new games every day so this number is going to grow rapidly. If you like flash games and want to get notified when a new game is published, you can follow AsfFlashGames on Facebook and Twitter. Finally, if you are a game developer and you want to submit your flash games to AskFlashGames, you can use this submission form. We decided to start AskFlashGames to fund our game development, even if this is probably an unusual way in the indie scene. Nevertheless we hope people will appreciate our effort to remain independent without asking for donations, but still offering something related to what we do and love: games. If you really want to help us and support our game development, please spread the word about AskFlashGames.com and check the website every day for new games.
15. I'm glad you liked it and thanks for the feedback :) Today I made the first 3 levels shorter/quicker, hope this will improve the slow start.
