Hey everyone,  Since 2010, I have been working on a self funded indie title called Jeklynn Heights (www.jeklynnheights.com).  Many of you have probably seen some older threads about the project, and it's actually here where we initially found our starting team members.  Just after 2 years, we are still making great strives and are slowly transitioning into beta testing.   With that said, we are hoping to reach out to the community and garner some additional support and funding through our IndieGoGo campaign.  The campaign link is: http://www.indiegogo.com/jeklynnheights/.  As we spearhead the next phase of this game's journey, additional funding will be needed to help expand our team, generate new content, server costs, marketing, etc.  We truly believe we have something innovative and unique in the works here - and would love for anyone who is interested to hop on board and help.   On our website and IndieGoGo page you will find various screenshots and videos.  If you like our style and the game's concept - we'd love if you'd consider donating.  If anyone has any questions about the project, where your money goes to, or the rewards for donating - please PM me on this website and I'd be more than happy to respond to everyone.   Thank you!   Ryan Wenke
  2. Jeklynn Heights is a multiplayer game that incorporates a multitude of genres and themes including 1st and 3rd person combat, RPG, strategy, and adventure. The game takes place entirely at night, a time when violence and peculiarity are at their peak. The town of Jeklynn Heights is separated into two factions; the Rich and the Poor. Each team starts out on the opposite side of the map. Both teams have several unique characters you can play as throughout the duration of the match. Each character has a different attack rotation, ranged weapon, and various special abilities. [b]Primary Objective[/b] The goal of the game is to acquire the Orb of Egression located in the other team's base. In order to capture the orb, the teams will need a portion of their overall players channeling it based on the team size. Successfully capturing the orb is your ticket out of this crazy town, but it comes with high risk. [b]Secondary Objective[/b] Throughout each playable map there are structures called Sanity Posts and Ability Orbs. Capturing a Sanity Post will give the acquiring team a forward position and more sanity; a resource used to level up your character to gain special attacks. Capturing Ability Orbs will give the acquiring team a huge advantage by making various passive and active abilities accessible. Sanity Posts and Ability Orbs can be recaptured by the enemy team however, so it is crucial to defend them and brainstorm which ones would benefit your team. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We have been developing this project for the UDK since January of 2010, and we are edging our way closer to opening up beta testing.   4. After a long stretch, we are very pleased to announce our official Jeklynn Heights website. The URL to join is HERE. There is a lot of new content and information regarding our title so let me just briefly summarize them now. Account Reservations On our website you can reserve a game account. This is not a pre-order for the game, but the account you register will be your game account and forum account. In order to post on our forums, you must reserve your game account first. It's all tied in together! Once you have a reserved account, you can choose to donate $10.00 to become a "Day Time Resident", or $20.00 to become a "Night Time Resident". Both of these titles allow you to enter our beta testing later down the road, in addition to exclusive content updates. Donating does not mean you have bought the game or pre-ordered. Content UpdatesWe have updated all of our screen shots showcasing new characters, props, and environments. We also launched a characters page where you can get information on all released main weapons and playable characters. Additionally, there is a full mother goose styled story about Jeklynn Heights that explains how things originated into this crazy state! We are going to be ironing out any problems and expand on the systems we already launched much more in the coming weeks and months.   6. I hope this is in the right area. I am currently using CMake, and would like to know if there is a way to have cmake link a entire library folder as opposed to making different directories for each lib I want to use. As I use more libs, I find making sub directories of each quite a hassle and pain. Basically I want CMake to link an entire folder full of various libs to my project. Is this possible? Thanks
