    ih im using vs10 and i found this listview control. found how to use most of its feturs (not sure its the best for what i need yet) but i cant find how to get the item i clickd on! the listview points to a dictionary. now how do i get a ref bake from what i selected to the dictionary???

  5. makeing one myself and as far as iv seen you will need an item object with a list of effects of each one. the effects are generic and you dont even have to name them or make them all in advance thats the work of you item creator. now the effects need nothing unless you adress them BUT you can make new effect any time you need.
  6. hi guys long time no see (back to programing after YEARS) before i make one of my own (and after googleing it) i wanted to ask if code for a key mapper exists out there. i meen the player side prefrence key map that lets to say what key dose what action. need it for mouse and joysticks too... if any1 knows of one rolling around out there i would save me a ice amount of time if not... any tips on how to make one?

    well ill try makeing a new thread here when ill finish some stuff. but im trying to make a space game with all the player/ship info is on an array most of the components in the game need to know whats in there! i need to know how different threads can talk to the same array without bonking there heads!

    as for the b var it cannot be and old result coz there is none and the results are too consistent(no not the exact same number) and as for the book, i made the example a tad bigger so i can see timing too!
  9. im thinking of making a part of a game im starting in threads. but i dont have mach exp in threading and how data moves between them. in a c# book i have it says the next code if safe. iw works but im not so sure how this will scale up to big game arrays.   11. ok lets say i got a 3d grid (sectors of the same size) and there is a sphere in it(middle point and radius) i want to know what sectors are in or touching the sphere. like drawing a circle only in 3d. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midpoint_circle_algorithm i looked on the net and i think there is a name for this and im just asking the wrong question!
