  1. Hi, Let me start with saying that I'm totally new to game development. I've got experience with software programming and with 3D modeling, but no experience with game development at all. For some school assignment I have to model a game character. I'll model one for a PC application, but I would like to include a chapter where I compare the differences between the platforms/consoles. I can image that the polycount is a rather important difference between the platforms, but are there any other aspects that I should mention? Or maybe any good articles about that? Or maybe it's all up to the game engine and the rest of the pipeline doesn't really matter as long as my edge loops look good? So does the platform/console of the game has influences on the modeling itself? Hope to get some answers, A game development n00b.
