  1. Hey guys,   now its finally time to announce our first game:     So far I have only been active in the sound & music corners of gamedev.net. You play a small worm-like creature exploring the ocean with your children. Your journey starts when your offspring is suddenly swallowed by a giant sea monster. Desperately trying to rescue them, you follow them into the belly of the beast.   The game is set up in a two-dimensional playing field and consists of different stages. You unlock these stages by solving riddles, outsmarting the creatures living inside the beast and killing nasty bosses. On your journey through the beast's body, you can deploy special powers, make friends and adapt yourself to your enemies with a unique DNA based eating feature.   Our game features a unique DNA based eating system. Surely you could just try to kill anything you encounter, or… you could do the smarter thing and ally with one of two DNA factions, which are at war with each other, and unlock a number of different skills. Including such helpful abilities as speed, poisonous clouds and shooting thorns.   Battle your way through heaps of enemies and stand your ground against large bosses. Rescue your children and learn new abilities. On your jouney you encounter a number of different creatures which will fill up your personal bestiary.   Solve a number of environment based riddles and directly interact with your game world to solve physics-based puzzles. Use the powers of fire and electricity as tools, or as weapons against your enemies.     Prove your skill by maneuvering through difficult spots, teeming with deadly traps (some of which can also be used to kill your enemies).   3. There is always photoshop essentials, if you just want to show parts? Also: You can rent the complete Adobe collection for only about 36-90€ per month. If you are working on project basis without wanting to spend big, this is a nice way to go.
  4. Thank you! I'm actually surprised you get that string sound with lass. I always thought they sounded different, since It is regarded with a relatively harsh sound in some other topics.

If you want something similar, but with more blown up graphics, you should expect to pay at last something similar, no?

  9. Regarding your three fonts, I think "Lithos" looks the best here. Though I don't like the font... but I know what look you are aiming for. But anyway. I had a few minutes and made some doodles. (Which are obviously in a komplete different style, but I didn't want to put them into my trash can either.) [attachment=11833:ninjacat.png]
  10. Very Impressive! Regarding the endings, you could try something like slowing down the last few notes in some sort of ritardando.
  11. Honestly, the few libraries avaiable are all equally great. Different, but not in a bad way. I for myself wont get any more play libraries (I have the choirs, but have a lot of problems with the player, wordbuilder crashing in about 3 out of 4 Sessions). But I gather that they are mostly very good, but too large and memory eating. Keep away from Hollywood Woodwinds, though. They seem to be awfull at the current state. The library may get better with time though as it is beeing reprogrammed, or so I belive. For me it is all Spitfire Audio now. I have Albion I, Albion II: Loegria, Solo Strings, the Harp and all the Single Modules. They all come with 3-4 mic positions so they are pretty flexible, low on memory since Kontakt based and very real sounding. If I had the money, I would add Cinesamples Brass & Woodwinds to my template. But I am kind of waiting for an announcement for the next few Spitfire products. They are always hinting. So I suppose they are working on something like solo brass ore solo winds. There is also Embertone to look out for, I loved the string quartet legato freebee. They are currently working on solo strings with the violin right arround the corner.

  13. Well, Yes, of course! Read to many Books to belive otherwise. Altough... probably not the kind of life my scifi heart so desires.

[font=arial,helvetica,sans-serif]I do a lot of sampling & even create my very own Instruments, [/font] [font=arial,helvetica,sans-serif]so if you want to be creative, a tool like this is your best friend.[/font]
