  1. Well, yes, it can be found on Play Market as a beta app named "Civilizations Builder" (I finzlized the current name only recently). But beware: he current pre-apha has very unconvenient interface, it, and the core gameplay, willexperience a major rework in 2 weeks. Together with mobile version, I'll make a downloadable demo as well.
  2. While it is still screenshot Saturday, I'd like to share the screenshots of the upcoming Strategilization update. The life of your civilization starts, when you decide, where to gather food for your citizens. And only then you'll be able to found a city on a hex, adjacent to your rural region. For all the aspects of your nation's life (expansion, exploration, improvement, research, wars) you'll be able to set up a development strategy. Afterwards you'll be able to spectate how your citizens, turn by turn, fulfill your orders and, if needed, issue the new ones. From the city interface you'll be able to control various ideas, which influence your citizens' productivity. Actually, the core gameplay has been reworked almost entirely since the posts at Airapport, so, to help new players get into the game, and to help myself have my thoughts organized, Strategilization wiki was created. These changes has not been uploaded to Google Play yet, but now it's possible to say that the update will take place before the next Ludum Dare (in 2 weeks).
  3. ?Updated the game, now more attention is focused on timing, not on the precision. Will anyone score 2000 points?
  4. Thank you! Actually, I have a Developer's journal, but it's about the development of my own Civlike strategy. As Jam ended, I'm returning to that project and making it my No1 priority.
  5.   This year we, for the second time, organized Global Game Jam in Ukraine. The theme was really cool – "WAVES". I particularly liked that it allowed multiple creative interpretations. During the jam I was busy with organizational questions, but at night between Saturday and Sunday I managed to cut several hours from my sleep and made my own prototype. So, the idea is such: imagine a water sufrace. When you drop a pebble into it, the waves start spreading from the centre. Now let's look at this process from the opposite side: where should you drop the pebble to create the waves of particular shape? Taking into account that the waves reflect from the walls of the basin, this can be a very interesting question. Here's how the gameplay looks like (gif)   During the post-jam week I completed the game and now I'm ready for release. Among the new features there are: various waves shapes (triangle, square, etc) sounds of real ocean waves which accompany your play cellular grid to help you aim better scoring system storage of player's score history You are welcome to check the game and share your suggestions. It can be downloaded from PlayMarket   Tools used: Flash Develop - IDE Starling - graphics engine Enhance - quick ads and analytis integration (it took me 3 minutes to integrate the banner, interlevel ads and retention measuring) Physics engine is of my own :)
  6. Looks like I found, how to increase the strategic level of wars in the game. Here's how they look like:     Of course, still much to do, but I keep moving in this direction.
  7. Now testing unitless warfare: frontline vs frontline:
  8. Yes, major user interface change is planned, to make playing more comfortable
  9. New version of Civilizations Builder, out turn-based strategy available for Mobile, PC and Web is ready! Now you can: - expand your territory - gather army and conquer enemy lands - use soft power to influence other civilizations, involve them into your sphere of influence or initiate rebellion - explore continents and islands - improve your cities and terrain Gameplay video How to conquer territories Military power, which is produced by a province, is spread on its territory. When you create an army, part of the military power goes to it. Army needs military power to support its strength and heal casualties. When two armies are on the adjacent cells, the battle starts. The battle takes place also when one player's army is on the territory of another player. If the enemy's territory military control is reduced to zero, this territory is captured. If you capture a city, then you gain control over the whole province. The game versions for Adroid, PC/Windows and Web are available here The game was showcased at GameOnLT, got many useful suggestions. Next task: balance the concepts, which exist in the game now. Then the game will move to the beta phase.
  10. I updated the game, now you can scroll the map horizontally unlimitedly. And the map sizes are up to 200x200. I've made several optimisations, so, it's interesting how will your mobile device handle the. Also you have a button now "Make several moves until something happens" Now thinking of a better ideas spreading formula.
